Objective. To describe the benefit of cosmiatrics hidroxycinnamic acids of third generation in the treatment of melasma due to hyperthyroidism. Clinical case. A4-2-year-old female who attends the dermatocosmiaric consultation for acute facial skin pigmentation type mask. The case was addressed with home treatment with diet and topical solutions in a protocol that included skin hydrations, peeling withidroxycinnamic acids and depigmentations with these active ingredients. Therapeutic approach. Melasma is multifactorial and affects women to a greater degree. In the case described, aggravated by hyperthyroidism and excess accumulated stress. The therapeutic approaches applied in the patient were followed for 8 months at the end of which visible beneficial results were obtained from the fourth session. One session was performed per week, first moisturizing the skin for 2 months, then a scaly peeling was performed with ferulic acid, rest at home for 30 days, then we continued with many hydrations and depigmentations until the proposed period was met.
