Abstract
Nummular eczema, a dermatological condition that manifests itself through coin-shaped skin lesions, often does not receive the attention or recognition it truly deserves within the medical community and among the general public. This condition is often viewed as a component of atopic dermatitis. However, this happens without thorough and in-depth research into the cases of these patients, who often experience a chronic and very frustrating progression of their condition. For this reason, we believe that it would be valuable to conduct a detailed and comprehensive literature review to provide a deeper and more complete understanding of this disease, which in turn would facilitate more appropriate and effective management. The following is the case of a patient with nummular eczema, a dermatological disease characterized by an alteration linked to allergic reactions. In this condition, itchy spots or patches appear on various areas of the patient's skin, which have a coin-like appearance. The reason behind this situation remains unidentified, and the condition in question seems to have a pattern in which it appears intermittently and then disappears again.
